Volta restaurant is located inside the Borneta Hotel, in the heart of the Born district of Barcelona, on Passeig de Picasso and under the iconic arches of the Porxos de Fontseré. Its name evokes the architectural shape of the "volta" (vault), but it also refers to the Catalan verb voltar, which means to stroll or wander — an idea that inspires the cuisine: a proposal that invites a journey through flavors from around the world, with local roots and an open perspective on the globe.

The cuisine at Volta is a gastronomic journey along the Mediterranean coast. Chef Andrea De Benedictis has created a creative menu inspired by the flavors discovered throughout his journey, from Spain and Italy to France and North Africa. His dishes, simple yet delicious, are based on the best local ingredients. Staying true to the Mediterranean spirit of generosity and togetherness, each dish is designed to be shared at the table.

The restaurant collaborates with a network of small organic producers, cheesemakers, and Catalan winemakers who work with passion and respect for the product, following sustainable and traditional methods to offer high-quality ingredients.

On the Volta menu, you'll find enticing dishes like the mille-feuille of bread with marinated pepper, smoked sardine, and parsley butter, or their personal version of Parmigiana, with aubergine cream, confit tomato mayonnaise, and pesto.

Also worth highlighting is the beef tartare with tuna sauce, radish, and capers, and delicate tagliolini with mussel cream, leeks, and lemon. For fish lovers, the glazed hake with miso and honey, served with carrots and dill-lemon sauce, is a true delight.

Among the dishes that captivated us during our visit, one reinterprets a classic: ossobuco with bone marrow and celery root — an intense, comforting combination full of personality.
