Dreams charitable nougat, by Torrons VicensTorrons Vicens and the PortAventura Foundation have presented a new nougat with a charitable purpose: the Dreams nougat. The initiative stems from the desire to collaborate with PortAventura Dreams Village, the foundation’s most emblematic social project. Part of the proceeds will be allocated to this pioneering initiative in Europe, which offers free stays to children and young people with serious illnesses and their families as part of their emotional and recovery therapy.

The sweet, made from chocolate, hazelnuts and banana, has been created to appeal to the whole family. In the coming days, it will be available for sale on the online store of the company based in Agramunt (Lleida) and in its more than 50 physical stores throughout Spain. Moreover, it will be available beyond the Christmas season, as the sweet will be on sale all year round. The retail price is €10.95.

Ángel Velasco, president of Torrons Vicens, expressed his satisfaction “for being able to collaborate with a commendable project that performs a fundamental task in improving the lives of children and young people across the country who are going through very tough times due to their delicate state of health”.

The president of the Agramunt-based company stated that he is confident he will be able to sell many Dreams nougats so that more families can benefit from this “very exciting” project.

Velasco recalled that Torrons Vicens already collaborates with other charitable projects, such as that of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, helping children with rare diseases, and expressed that he is “grateful and moved to have the opportunity to remain involved in this type of initiative that benefits society as a whole.”

On behalf of the PortAventura Foundation, its president Josep Andreu thanked the initiative and expressed his joy at “being able to count on a collaborator of the stature of Torrons Vicens, a gastronomic benchmark in our country, who will help us give even more visibility to PortAventura Dreams Village and thus help more sick children and young people”.

The project began in 2019 and more than 1,100 families have already enjoyed the experience, where leisure becomes emotional well-being. To make it a reality, the PortAventura Foundation relies on a network of collaborators made up of private companies, other foundations and mainly the leading maternal and child hospitals in Spain: Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital of Madrid and Vall d’Hebron Hospital.
