PortAventura World, 21 January 2026.- As part of FITUR 2026, PortAventura World has unveiled its major new additions for the upcoming season: “Coral Bay, The Lost Legend” and “Makamanu Jungle, The Adventure Trek.” These two new familyoriented experiences will expand and enhance the offerings at Caribe Aquatic Park and PortAventura Park.
The first, “Coral Bay, The Lost Legend,” is a new 6,000 m² family area that immerses visitors in a pirate bay which, according to legend, lay submerged for centuries and has now risen again from the ocean depths. This space will feature a family water coaster unique in Europe, an adventure pool with a world-exclusive aquatic obstacle course, new water slides, and a new food and beverage outlet. This expansion reinforces Caribe Aquatic Park’s position as one of the leading family water parks in Europe.
The second, “Makamanu Jungle, The Adventure Trek,” is a new adventure trail located in the Polynesia area of PortAventura Park, inviting guests to journey into the wild heart of the jungle. This outdoor exploration experience will include secret walkways, hanging bridges, and various nature-integrated challenges designed to awaken the explorer spirit in both children and their companions.
This new experience brings back the original essence of the area, reinterpreted through a more active lens. The name “Makamanu,” inspired by Polynesian mythology and associated with the “bird’s gaze,” emphasizes the adventurous and jungle-based character of the experience, which is designed to connect guests with their surroundings and the thrill of exploration.
Fernando Aldecoa, General Manager of PortAventura World, stated: “At PortAventura World, we are committed to continuously developing our offerings to provide increasingly memorable experiences. We listen to our customers, and the new features we’re announcing for 2026 reflect our dedication to continuing to surprise them, creating unique moments for all audiences.”
Both attractions will open to the public in summer and combine adventure, immersion, and fun. With these additions, the resort takes another step forward in its growth strategy, reinforcing its position as one of Europe’s leading family leisure destinations and as a creator of unique experiences for all ages.
