The summer season at La Molina culminates its launch this July, at which point the Girona resort activates all of its offerings. This milestone marks the moment when all services and activities are fully operational, guaranteeing a complete summer experience for all visitors.
This weekend, La Molina introduced the Metapark, an innovative addition to the Wildlife Route that offers an immersive hiking experience with augmented reality. Visitors will be able to see, hear, learn about, and even take photos with the most iconic wildlife of the Pyrenees. This route, suitable for all audiences due to its low difficulty (2 km and 100 m of elevation gain), is open every day of the year and lasts between one and two hours. All that’s needed is a mobile phone or a rental tablet.
The Lake area has also opened, becoming the epicenter of fun with a variety of water and sports activities. Visitors can rent kayaks and paddleboards, as well as the innovative water bikes, which allow them to explore the lake in a unique and original way while getting exercise. These are suitable for those over 1.50 meters tall. Younger children will have access to electric bikes designed for kids aged 3 to 8, ideal for introducing them to the world of cycling. The area also features a sports circuit, a volleyball court, and a disc golf activity, ensuring there’s something for all tastes and ages.
In addition, La Molina visitors can now access the Cap de Comella chairlift, which will be in operation on weekends throughout July. From July 21st, this lift will be open daily until August 31st, with one important exception: between July 18th and August 3rd, its use will be exclusive for sightseeing and for the riders of the Spanish and European DH Championships to be held at the resort.
Summer activities at La Molina
Since June 14th, La Molina has been offering a wide range of activities to enjoy the mountains. Visitors can take the Cadí-Moixeró Cable Car, which offers spectacular views. Nature lovers can explore the new hiking, MTB, and e-bike routes, or discover the nature and mining circuits, which are signposted and offer guided options to learn about local flora and fauna. The Bike Park has expanded with the new ComellaDH circuit in the TSD Cap de Comella area, an additional challenge for more experienced cyclists. This circuit will be operational once the European DHI Championships have concluded.
For younger visitors, the resort has activities like the Wildlife Interpretation Route, the fun Tubbing, a refreshing heated pool, trampolines and jumping areas, and the Adventure Park in the Trees, along with Segway tours and excursions. La Molina also stands out for its Adapted Sports Center (CEA), a space where people with disabilities can enjoy activities such as adapted MTB routes, access to the Adventure Park, or rides on the Cable Car, reinforcing its commitment to universal accessibility.
